Strategic Planning
Let UND Office of Professional Services help you evaluate the current condition of your organization and determine how it should operate in the future through our proven strategic planning process.
Strategic planning is the proactive process of assessing an organization’s current condition, determining its desired future state, and identifying actions that will achieve that future (Pfeiffer, Goodstein, and Nolan, 1999). It helps your organization answer these important questions:
- Where are we currently?
- Where do we want to go?
- How do we get there?
- How are we doing so far?
Through our proven process, UND Office of Professional Services will assist your organization or company with its strategic planning needs by:
- documenting the mission, vision, and values of your organization
- determining which critical factors need to be considered
- identifying the key issues and strategies that need to be built
- developing an action plan that identifies how each action step will be implemented and evaluated
At all of your strategic planning sessions, our staff will facilitate discussion, capture the dialogue that takes place, and document any decisions that are made. After each planning session, we will provide your planning team with a working copy of the dialogue and decisions made. At the conclusion of the entire strategic planning process, we will provide a final strategic plan and written report to the key administrators of your organization.
